Being Attentive

Being attentive is same as being focused. When you are doing something, be it playing or chanting, if you do it with full attention and focus, you do it  successfully and you get that inner satisfaction of "I have done it..!"
My mother keeps instructing me - Whenever you do something, do it properly. Put your hundred percent focus, effort and attention in that , then you will be satisfied with that effort you have put. Even if you spent five minutes in doing something , do it substantially.
Attentiveness, alertness, presence of mind... are the same according to me. What is "presence of mind"? It is keeping in mind, the things you do at the present moment  and trying to do it perfectly without any mistakes.
My mother tells me to keep my shoes in the shoe rack as soon as I come from school but most of the time, I forget to do so. This requires presence of mind for one needs to be focused be attentive and focused in whatever he does
.Thus concluding with a quote by Maharaj-" Whether advanced or a beginner in Krishna Conciousness, we should not be neglectful even for a second. That one second could mean our spiritual life. It could even mean our material life"
