It is easier to criticize
Once, there was a painter who had just completed his course of learning to paint under a great teacher. In order to judge his skills, he painted a beautiful scenery and placed on the wall of a street with a note next to it which read "Gentlemen, please see this painting and since I am new to this profession, I might have commited some mistakes. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake". He returned in the evening to see his painting and he was astonished to see the whole scenery covered with crosses. Tears rolled down his cheeks and he burst out crying and he went to his master. Sobbing, he told his master , what had happened and the showed the pathetic condition of his painting and the master heard him saying "I am useless and if this is what I have learnt, I am not fit to become a painter. People have completely rejected me."The master told him to calm down and do the replica of the same painting within two days and he will show that he has learnt a completely flawless painting. As told , the disciple made the painting and handed it over to his master. The master took the painting and placed it in the same place in the street with a note which now read"Gentlemen, please see this painting and since I am new to this profession, I might have commited some mistakes. But do me a favor, wherever you see a mistake please correct it. I have kept a box with colors and brushes below."They returned in the evening and to their surprise , there was not a single cross on the painting and for one month it remained untouched.
It is easier to criticize but difficult to improve. We must also not get carried away by criticism and feel depressed. We should only take genuine criticisms into consideration and try to improve on those terms.
Hope you take my feedback for other two blogs in this spirit :)
