Being responsible and detached

There was a deity-welcoming program at Radhapreeti Mataji's place because they had just received Jagganath deities from Puri.We were really lucky to have Radhagopinath Prabhu personally present there and he gave a class on that auspicious occasion. He told the real meaning of keeping deities in the house. I really liked the class very much and thought of writing about it.
He said some points:
1. When we bring deities into the house, it indirectly means that we are no more the owner of the house. Jagganath is the owner. We are just the caretakers of His house.
2.How to be detached as well as be responsible? When one becomes detached, he becomes irresponsible and if he becomes responsible, he becomes attached. In order to overcome this, we should remember that we are just the caretakers of Krishna's properties. He gave a very good example-
Suppose a person keeps his tape recorder in your custody and says he would be back in around three weeks and then collect it. You have to be responsible because its someone else's tape recorder but at the same time it does mean he becomes too attached to it and when he comes back he says "Prabhuji , its very nice ........can I keep it!" You should also remember that it is someone else's tape recorder and not be too attached but you should be responsible to keep it properly and not say "Prabhuji, you asked for the tape recorder right..? Take, the lens is here and the other part is there......below the chair..!!
Radhagopinath Prabhu ended by saying that we should remember that we are just caretakers and we should be humble. We should not be proud and think that only my deities are beautiful or graceful.
