Fifteen Days of Enrichment
15 days - indescribable. A rejuvenating and an enlivening holiday.
I remember packing my bags for my Yatra when I was a little younger. Around two days before the travel, I used to feel uncomfortable thinking about - long lectures, late prasadam, etc. But slowly as days passed, I got attached to the environment so much that I actually had tears in my eyes on the last day of the Mayapur Yatra. Well, this was when I was young and immature. As I grew older, I started getting excited thinking about the Yatra. I was waiting to board the train and leave to the holy Dham with the other devotees. This time too, I left with tears in my eyes but with a greater understanding.
As I entered 10th standard, I could not attend my dearest Yatra. I was so involved with my studies and other stuffs during the Yatra that it soon got over and everyone returned. Unfortunately, I failed to realize what I had missed. After this, my mother continuously reminded me to pray to Lord Krishna so that I may be able to attend the upcoming year.
I am in 11th and I am in my residence writing an article and tomorrow the Yatra begins in the holy Mayapur Dham. I was'nt serious enough. I had taken it for granted. With the evolution of technology, I am able to witness everything that is happening but I am unable to experience everything that is happening.
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder"
We should never let go of the opportunity we get thus living everyday of our life and the Yatra as if it were the last one !!
