Don't Judge a Book by its Cover

I still have a hearty laugh when I remember an old hilarious incident. We had gone to the ISKCON Sheshadripuram Temple in Bangalore. After a heavy Sunday Feast Program, we were seeing books in the nearby bookstall. Immediately, a bright yellow book -"Super Sunday" caught my attention. I was probably in 6th grade and comics were a fascination. As the cover of the book was filled with animated caricatures, I was capsized and wanted to immediately have it. I was on cloud nine when I finally had it in my hand although after much persuasion. I instantly jumped onto my car's back seat and began reading it. However, to my surprise, it had nothing to do with kids !! It was all about conducting Sunday feast programs. I was totally embarrassed. Well, what do you remember ??
Never judge a book by its cover !! So true. This is on a very superficial level. When we categorize people wrongly based on their external appearances, we may suffer some amount of embarrassment or shame but what we will suffer is the effect of judging God's children. Even if we are innocent and harmless in a gross sense, when we neglect and offend His devotees, we just attract negativity. Therefore, in whatever quantity and quality we perform our work, we should guard against any offenses due to wrong hasty judgments.
It is a part of our thought process to straight away comprehend a person's personality. If we just leave it at that and proceed ahead, then it might not be much of a problem. But when we hold on to our conclusions and draw faulty theories from that, we are unnecessarily succumbing to negativity.
